Since it seems that nobody of us really knows what value ATS is to us, I suggest to post our problems to both, the Protel (Altium) Technical Support and the proteledaforum. I do this with the question regarding the crash of 99SE SP6 I just had this morning:
I tried to generate a BOM with the wizard from the reports menu. I unchecked the footprint and description boxes but checked all the library field boxes. The output format was client spreadsheet. After automatically opening all sheets of the project the client 99SE error message "License information for TF1Book is invalid" appeared. Pressing the OK button lets the BOM Wizard window on the screen. Trying a second time to push the Finish button results in an information box "Cannot open Spread document". Pushing again the OK button returns to the design with the (blank) spreadsheet tab active but no screen update occours. Closing the spreadsheet results in the Client 99SE error message "Access violation at address 40067324 in module 'VCL50.bpl'. Write of address 0000014C.". Pressing OK lets close all documents and the ddb. After having compressed the ddb (while closing) the same access violation errormessage appears again. After pressing OK Client 99SE can be closed as usual but generates a Dr. Watson application error message. It seems that the PC has to be rebooted for Protel to work properly again (restarting Clint99SE is not sufficient). Does anybody have any idea what might be wrong or what exactly is going on? I'm using 99SE SP6 on NT4 latest SP (don't recall the number) and the access ddb format. Any help appreciated, TIA!
