Brian,
it is most likely just one of those viruses that replicate itself to
every email address in a person's Outlook address book. In which case
somebody that had your email address was probably recently infected. Chances
are it was a virus auto-replicating itself and not a direct attack posted to
you.
The poster's name being John, could just be a wild goose chase
although you could check the properties on John and probably get a full
email address.

So far, I received 2 ******.***.scr viruses. Do not worry, I do not
allow .scr
to execute on my system. The last virus came from 'John'. Since I don't
