miker, I think you might want to try placing a polygon plane instead of a fill. Polygon planes provide thermal relief and don't connect to other nets.
Cheers, Dave Buckley ********************************************** hi dave, thanks for responding. but i'm not exactly sure about what you mean when you say polygon planes don't connect to "other" nets. is the fill connecting to every thru- hole within its boundaries? actually a polygon plane is what i intend to use in the end, because the area is fairly irregular. the reason i started with the fill is that i thought it was easier to experiment with and that whatever electrical charac- teristics it had would be exhibited by the polygon plane also. thanks, miker * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * To post a message: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] * * To leave this list visit: * http://www.techservinc.com/protelusers/leave.html * * Contact the list manager: * mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] * * Forum Guidelines Rules: * http://www.techservinc.com/protelusers/forumrules.html * * Browse or Search previous postings: * http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
