Check out the help topic "PCB Design Layers". The "multilayer" is a Protel concept, a bit strange at first... it shows things that exist on more than one layer -- this is mainly holes, pads, and vias.
Layers you mentioned that aren't in the help... I've never seen a layer called "Part Numbers"; the part designators (often called ref-des for reference designators) are normally part of the silkscreen layer -- text, part outlines, etc., that's printed on the top and/or bottom of the pcb. But you can rename layers in Protel, so maybe some example designs have a layer called that. Template_Dimensions - there's usually at least one "mechanical" layer that shows the outline of the board, often with dimension markers. > -----Original Message----- > From: Waheed Bajwa > Sent: Friday, May 17, 2002 12:17 AM > > Ok here are some more information requiring issues... > > What is: > > Top/Bottom Paste layer > Top/Bottom Solder layer > Drill Guide layer > Drill Drawing layer > Silkscreen > Part Numbers layer > Template_Dimensions layer * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * To post a message: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] * * To leave this list visit: * http://www.techservinc.com/protelusers/leave.html * * Contact the list manager: * mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] * * Forum Guidelines Rules: * http://www.techservinc.com/protelusers/forumrules.html * * Browse or Search previous postings: * http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
