i too suspect it is a Jet problem but i went thru that loop

i got the MDAC driver from MS and when attempting to install it says i
already have the latest version and won't go forward

i have done enough stuff that i think i am at the point of at least
contemplating wiping the drive, OS and all

god what a waste of time and work
