James: We do have our own mailing lists as well. The point in posting
here is to address and engage with PSF members specifically, since
many of our attendees are PSF members.

We post announcements since we want to keep people up to date
with what's happening and not miss anything.

As mentioned, I'd love to see more such announcements from other
conferences as well, but many of them unfortunately don't appear to
have the PSF members on their radar.
