Thanks for this.
I had never noticed the dict_get_split_* functions.
I'm a little confused by the first two for loops in rank_cmd, since the
second appears to overwrite the effects of the first.
I'm assuming there must be a typo, and the second loop is intended to append
to the array at the point where the first left off?
