Follow-up Comment #18, patch #5402 (project pspp):
Here's yet another patch. It now does everything correctly, except the
discontiguous splits mentioned previously.
I've tested it pretty thoroughly against the results spss produces. Unless
anyone objects, I'll commit this patch this weekend.
