hi.
Believe it or not, i was actually using ProTools before i made the switch to
sonar.i'm speeking as i find hear. Protools is a good daw to work with, but
there were certain things i was able to do in sonar, that i wasn't able to
do in Protools. Hense, accessing the midi event list, assigning a BPM,
Changinging time measures etc. I have not been able to up grade to PT 11
just yet. Avid's been extremely bloody difficult with PT upgrades, and of
course as a student you need proof that you are studdying at what university
you are at. and of course when you submit the proof, Avid either do not send
you the code, or if they do, you don't get it. Not only that but there's the
problem with the ilock manager. i know about this, because i exchanged a few
tweets with Kevin Reeves on Twitter and he was ranting about how
unaccessable the new ilock manager has become. fortunately as far as the
ilock manager is concerned, i know a technition at uni, who's helping me get
passed this stumbling block, but untill i get the damm upgrade code from
Avid, as far as PT is concerned, i'm not going any wear.
so i'm gonna become abit of a quizling hear, between PT and Sonar, Sonar
winns, although that does not mean i will not use protools.
i guess the thing i need to do now is wait. and fume!

Hi,
So, since you have used both, how do you like pt now compared to Sonar?
Many thanks,
Christian
