I'm not much of an Avid fanboy, but think it's worth pointing out that
they've outsourced student verification, so you're likely fuming at
the wrong people. I had an issue with the serial printed on my
activation card which started the whole verification process, but
found avid support to be pretty quick/thorough, and the verification
itself went without a hitch in way less time than the site said it'd
take.
