Hi, I also use pro tools as a student and find pro tools very accessible
with voiceover. If you let us know what types of projects you are doing
or if you are a student this might help as there are student discounts
for pro tools. I myself use a digi 003 with moving controls so when a
volume of a track changes in the session the control moves up and down.
I think as a blind person having the control surface have moving parts
is a great thing as you can feel your session in a way. Nick Gawronski

Hello Ashley, welcom to the list. As far as accessibility of PT, I run
a small home recording studio and I have recorded, mixed and mastered
many clients projects through Protools and that is with learning it
over the last year and a half. Before that I used cakewalk sonar. I
have tudored a few people on this list over skype and Facetime, if you
need any hands on help down the road just let me know,
[email protected] is my email, or just drop a line on the list.
Take care

Subject: Overall Status of ProTools 11
Hi All,
I'm new on this list - so firstly, hi! I hope to learn many things
here as well as help out myself, where possible.
I'm considering picking up ProTools 11 with the Avid Eleven Rack and
a Behringer BCF-2000 control surface. I was wondering what is the
overall status of ProTools 11 accessibility? I read some posts here
regarding the PT11 betas, but that was obviously pre-release software.
What's the status of ProTools 11 accessibility, as of the latest
update? What can and can't be done? Is there anything that inhibits a
users ability to use PT11?
Using mavericks.
Thanks for any and all help,
Ashley
