Hi, One thing for new users of pro tools might wish to know which I ran into today in class is sometimes if you are opening up a session on one system that was not saved with the same playback engine like a HD system and a normal pro tools system is voiceover can read a dialog that says this system has this hardware with this many voices. Then it pauses for a second or two and then says do you wish to use this playback engine instead of the one saved with the session and I kept hitting yes wondering why the hd speakers were not playing. I then remembered to listen for the full dialog when I had thought voiceover had spoken everything when it told me about how many voices the card had and kept going in circles until I hit the no button as I thought yes was to use the current playback engine and did not wait until the pause and the rest of the message. My point here is to say if you are not totally sure if voiceover is finished just wait for a few seconds to see if very useful information comes up. This will save you several minutes of changing things only to have them go back to what they were as once I hit no things worked just fine. Nick Gawronski

If you will only be recording one or two sources at a time the eleven rack
should be fine as an interface. iLok came in the box with license preloaded it
on it when i bought a package similar to the one you are looking at. Only
difference is mine came with the mBox pro 3 instead of the eleven rack.

Hi Ashley. Can I ask how much the 11 Rack goes for these days?
