You should be able to press 3 on the numb pad as well FYI. That is what I use.

I have already disabled the OS X Spotlight shortcut in system preferences, so I guess that’s not what’s causing this problem… I have discovered, however, that I can start recording by pressing F12. This way I can at least be sure that I setup and armed the audio track correctly and that everything works fine, except for the CMD + space command of course… If anyone has got any suggestions for solving this weird problem, I’d greatly appreciate any advice!
