Flip the phase on your interface or or on the
track in the DAW Go with the one that sounds
better. However for recording most phase issues
arise when you ar recording the same source with
more than one microphone. IF you are recording
a stereo output from say a keyboard or fx unit
or etc and you are using two mono patch cables
to capture the stereo output of said device you
usually won’t have phase issues then.
The stuff that can cause phase issues in mixing
is usually plug ins that mess with the stereo
image. This you can check by collapsing your
mix to mono, (once again either on your
interface or from with in the DAW) and see if
any instruments or sounds that you hear in stereo disappear in the mix.
