Hi Nathaniel,
while I respect your perspective, the only person who can honestly, and I
trust without pressure answer this question, is Ramy.
If, as you say, this is along time goal, the question is why?
Is there something required professionally that can be done no other way?
Or, is there pressure of the far from realistic reasonable or factual
kind saying that if others are doing this, Ramy must as well?
As a professional in your training field, I am sure you understand the
difference.
If Sonar meets your professional or personal needs Ramy, there is no reason
whatsoever to change.
Personally, your fear about the situation says a great deal to me.
While I absolutely resonate with the concept that nothing of value comes
without effort, agreeing with others here stating that the best teaching
comes from practice, there must be a firm deep and needful reason for you
to commit.
There is no other person who knows more about your needs, abilities,
preferences or desires than yourself.
You are the only individual inside your head, and your experience of
blindness and everything else begins and ends with you.
There is no need, or no shame, in defining your work as you prefer.
If fear is your only barrier however, understand it, and redefine it rather
than allow it to control you.
Just my 2 cents,
Karen

Ramy,
May I ask an important question?
What do you feel you must do in pro tools, that you cannot presently do in
Sonar?
Why is this technology change critical for you?
Because, there in will lie all the incentive you require to get moving, if
it exists.
Does this make sense?

his background or his religion ... People must learn to hate, and if they
can learn to hate, they can be taught to love... For love comes more
naturally to the human heart than its opposite." Nelson Mandela.

I agree, the only way you will really learn to use Pro-tools is if you
force yourself to use it, by basically letting go of Sonar. I of course
assume you want to eventually move over to ProTools permanently.
With this being said it will be harder to do in the working environment
where you have to get things done every day, where you can't really afford
mistakes or down time.
Years ago I had the same when getting my first Mac, I was never really
going to learn to use Voiceover if I kept going back to windows and jaws. I
started to force by self to use the Mac more and more on a daily basis, to
perform more tasks on it every day.

How about the protools with speech set of audio tutorials? A bit

Hello all:
Sorry if I am repost my last email, but, I tried to set with one
of my sited friends here, to put my hands on protools, but he fail
making me do so, because he is usng mouse in most of the time.
so, Again, I repeat my request, I need someone, to give me just
starting push, moving between regents using tab, editing noise in
track etc, the difference between Sonar and pro tools makes me
feel that am a stranger when using it. so, can anyone give me 1 or
2 hours from his or her time, specially if he was using sonar
before?
Frankly I can pay but not so much because $ here is so expensive
in Egypt. so all I can pay is just 20$ or less if requested.
Thanks for your support
