You dont need to apologise. I use a lot of your software and think it is of the very highest quality . I try to do some O/S develoment myself and find it almost impossible to make a living and contribute any significant amount of code to OS projects. It constantly amazes me how prolific some people are. Thank you very much for what you contributed already and you'll find only gratitude from me for whatever future contributions you can make. If people need more than what Ralf has to provide, I guess they need to step up and start providing some resources themselves, and help fill in the gaps . Isnt that the key tenant of O/S philosophy ... ? > Pth is definetely maintained by me and the OSSP project team (especially > because it is an essential part of OSSP), but it is right that active > development slowed down in the Pth area and that official releases > occur less frequently. The lack of an list archive left me wondering about accumulating patches. Perhaps an automated system that can accept patch submissions and show their status (I'm very happy with the way SourceForge does this) would make things easier for you. At least 3rd party patches would be automatically archived somewhere that people could access them till such times as they were subsumed by the CVS code base .... Raf, again I'd like to praise your wonderful O/S contributions. I think your doing us all a magnificent service. Just when I needed a cross platform O/S posix threads package, there was pth. I dont think people like you get shown anywhere near enough appreciation. I hope one day to make some contributions in kind , but that may be a pipe dream. Perhaps if my company ever makes a real profit we can make some sort of financial contribution instead.
