I made my first attempt to deploy my configured ALIX board today -
no joy. Verizon FIOS is configured to talk to a specific MAC
address.

I've just spent a fruitless few hours attempting to change the
MAC address on the ALIX WAN port - the /etc/config/network
"option macaddr" command doesn't work, the nvram command is
not in OpenWRT Kamikaze, and I can't find any suggestions on
the PC Engines site or in the brief ALIX manual for manipulating
the MAC address.

I will try one of the alternate softwares (monowall, ?) on a
different CF card. If I come up with something that works,
then I will let the list know. Otherwise, this may be a
significant handicap for using Alix boards in enironments
where we have to clone MAC addresses.
