I like to be able to control the microphone recording level and the only way to do it is to plug your microphone into the line input. Because this input requires more signal than what is delivered by a standard microphone you have to accommodate by 1. adding a microphone pre am or mixer (the expensive alternative) or 2. buy ing a microphone like the one from IRTI that has a preamp included (the inexpensive alternative). This is also the way to get a silence switch on the ptr1 you just use a microphone with a cough switch on it or add one in series. I have a microphone cable with a cough switch built in so I can use it with any of my XLR equiped professional microphones. This switch makes no click -- it just silently kills the input signal.

No, this was never possible, but perhaps, the verbal feedback, which one gets when trying it has been modified. I don't know. <*** Michael Lang ***> --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
