That would be incorrect. It's still called the MIME type; that's what people know it by, and everyone knows what it means. Ignore misguided attempts by standards bodies to impose changes on a well-established, widely understood term, and just call it what it's called. (If you think it's quibbling, that means you think it's a waste of time to worry about either way. You're asking for a bunch of changes to be made to specs to change terminology, so you do seem to care; so please don't say that other people are quibbling.) -- Glenn Maynard
