#572: PulseAudio mutes Master channel upon logout ----------------------------+----------------------------------------------- Reporter: diverse_izzue | Owner: lennart Type: defect | Status: new Milestone: | Component: daemon Resolution: | Keywords: ----------------------------+-----------------------------------------------
Comment(by coling): Hmm, really? They should be re-reading the volume data but rather setting the volume they think they have in hardware. The problem I envisage is: 1. User A logs in and sets volume to 10%. 2. Switch user 3. User B logs in and sets volume to 50% 4. Switch user to User A. User A's PA *thinks* it has a 10% volume but the underlying mixers are @50% - We need to reapply our volumes to the h/w, not read what the hardware is currently saying. I wasn't sure if this was something that should be specific to the alsa modules - e.g. it would apply on OSS modules too most likely (certainly pre-v4). Of course wherever this fix goes, it's still falls under the "takes a little more work" category :p -- Ticket URL: <http://pulseaudio.org/ticket/572#comment:22> PulseAudio <http://pulseaudio.org/> The PulseAudio Sound Server _______________________________________________ pulseaudio-tickets mailing list pulseaudio-tickets@mail.0pointer.de https://tango.0pointer.de/mailman/listinfo/pulseaudio-tickets
