Issue #2319 has been updated by James Turnbull.

Status changed from Unreviewed to Rejected

I really am not a fan of this idea. Firstly, doco in two places tends to mean
doco is not updated in one of those two places. Secondly, if this doco then
why not all the reference pages etc, etc? Thirdly, this is something we should
fix when we roll out new wiki. We should have reference page histories for
example. Volcane already does this and I fully intend to steal the concept.
Lastly, can you point out where the defencies in the Tutorial are and I'll
start by trying to fix that page first.

Feature #2319: Puppet source should ship with copy of LanguageTutorial
http://projects.reductivelabs.com/issues/2319

Author: Christian Hofstaedtler
Status: Rejected
Priority: Normal
Assigned to:
Category: documentation
Target version: 0.25.0
Complexity: Easy
Affected version: 0.24.8
Keywords:

It'd be nice if there were a copy of the LanguageTutorial in the downloadable
tar.gz distribution files, for future reference. Right now there's only the
*one* copy in trac (which isn't explicit enough about what works in which
version) and going back in time is not that easy.
