Issue #2319 has been updated by Nigel Kersten.
One issue I've seen confuse people is when new features get added to the language, and users are running older versions of Puppet where they don't work. Perhaps the solution is to tag the documentation with version numbers, but I can see a static copy of the docs for the version you are currently running being quite useful (particularly with the 0.24.x -> 0.25.x shift) ---------------------------------------- Feature #2319: Puppet source should ship with copy of LanguageTutorial http://projects.reductivelabs.com/issues/2319 Author: Christian Hofstaedtler Status: Rejected Priority: Normal Assigned to: Category: documentation Target version: 0.25.0 Complexity: Easy Affected version: 0.24.8 Keywords: It'd be nice if there were a copy of the LanguageTutorial in the downloadable tar.gz distribution files, for future reference. Right now there's only the *one* copy in trac (which isn't explicit enough about what works in which version) and going back in time is not that easy. -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
