Yeah, I'd have thought of a copy of the wiki doc, which is to be made on
release time.

The reference pages are already available as puppetdoc, AFAIK.

Yeah, reference histories are nice, but I /think/ you can already do that by
just running puppetdoc against the puppet version you've installed and it gives
you all the reference you need. Just the LanguageTutorial is missing here.

Well, I no longer remember explicit problems with the doc itself, but right now
it's not very accessible if you have version x and the page tells you lots of
stuff which is only available since version x+y.

I'm not so much for a static copy of the tutorial in the sources instead of
putting a real language reference into puppetdoc, but it seemed like an easy
solution for a (popular?) problem.

Feature #2319: Puppet source should ship with copy of LanguageTutorial

Author: Christian Hofstaedtler
Status: Rejected
Priority: Normal
Assigned to:
Category: documentation
Target version: 0.25.0
Complexity: Easy
Affected version: 0.24.8
Keywords:

It'd be nice if there were a copy of the LanguageTutorial in the downloadable
tar.gz distribution files, for future reference. Right now there's only the
*one* copy in trac (which isn't explicit enough about what works in which
version) and going back in time is not that easy.
