Issue #2457 has been updated by Nigel Kersten.
Would you be ok with marking reportserver as deprecated then Luke? To flesh things out a bit I'm proposing: * new parameter --report_server * new parameter --report_port * --report_server trumps --reportserver * --report_server and --reportserver default to --server * --report_port defaults to --masterport * Provide deprecation warning client-side for the use of --reportserver in 0.25.x clients ---------------------------------------- Feature #2457: Puppet clients should be able to specify a report_port as well as a reportserver http://projects.reductivelabs.com/issues/2457 Author: Nigel Kersten Status: Accepted Priority: Normal Assigned to: Category: reports Target version: Complexity: Unknown Affected version: 0.25.0 Keywords: We can specify a report server with "--reportserver" but we can't actually specify a port. I'm working on a third party report collection server, and would like to be able to specify the port. It also seems inconsistent that we have --server --masterport --ca_server --ca_port --reportserver It seems clear we can't touch server/masterport/ca_server/ca_port, so I suggest we have --report_server and --report_port ? -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
