Issue #6740 has been updated by Richard Clamp.
The initial patch was intended to be low impact, but here's a more generic version. It renames the length method to weight to indicate that it's not directly the length of the confines array, and then a generic mechanism for setting it (with environment variables still trumping things) Was that the kind of thing you had in mind? https://github.com/richardc/facter/commit/025db1ef3c39ed31188c956ade45b5a7b2e32549 ---------------------------------------- Bug #6740: facter doesn't always respect facts in environment variables https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/6740 Author: Richard Clamp Status: Ready For Testing Priority: Normal Assignee: Daniel Pittman Category: interface Target version: 1.6.0 Keywords: Branch: https://github.com/richardc/facter/tree/ticket/master/6740 On an OSX host: $ facter operatingsystem Darwin $ facter_operatingsystem=Not_Darwin facter operatingsystem Not_Darwin But on a linux/solaris host: $ facter operatingsystem CentOS $ facter_operatingsystem=Not_CentOS facter operatingsystem CentOS I have a patch pending to fix this -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
