That looks pretty much like what I expected, yeah. It means that we can bump
the weight of clever, portable facts elsewhere, and has a generic enough
interface that we can wrap it up if we decide raw numbers are not attractive.

Bug #6740: facter doesn't always respect facts in environment variables
https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/6740

Author: Richard Clamp
Status: Ready For Testing
Priority: Normal
Assignee: Daniel Pittman
Category: interface
Target version: 1.6.0
Keywords:
Branch: https://github.com/richardc/facter/tree/ticket/master/6740

On an OSX host:

    $ facter operatingsystem
    Darwin

    $ facter_operatingsystem=Not_Darwin facter operatingsystem
    Not_Darwin

But on a linux/solaris host:

    $ facter operatingsystem
    CentOS

    $ facter_operatingsystem=Not_CentOS facter operatingsystem
    CentOS

I have a patch pending to fix this
