Issue #7441 has been updated by R.I. Pienaar.

Category set to Packaging
Status changed from Unreviewed to Needs More Information
Assignee set to R.I. Pienaar

I am guessing you just took our RHEL packages and installed them on SLES right?

I am not sure this is really the task of the RC script - that ruby lib setting
there just shouldnt be needed.

We should either build SLES packages if we choose to make it a supported distro
or the community need to do their own building - the RPMs should do the right
thing for you once they are built on a SLES machine but taking RHEL targeted
packages to SLES just wont work and I dont think we should work around it in
the rc script.

https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/7441

Author: Adam Edwards
Status: Needs More Information
Priority: Normal
Assignee: R.I. Pienaar
Category: Packaging
Target version:
Keywords:
Branch:
Affected mCollective version:

In SLES 11, the RUBYLIB dir is a little different than RedHat. Would you be
able to make the following code change so that it works on SLES out of the box?

/etc/init.d/mcollective script as follows:

Old:
RUBYLIB=/usr/local/lib/site_ruby/1.8:$RUBYLIB

New:
RUBYLIB=/usr/local/lib/site_ruby/1.8:/usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8:$RUBYLIB
