Issue #14682 has been updated by Max Martin.
If we're going to be replacing the hardware, we should get several boxen so that the tests no longer need to be run using one machine pretending to be 2 or 3 machines via vagrant. Jason indicated to us that we have the resources now to dedicate the necessary hardware to performance testing. Carl and I can get together and provide some wishlist specs for proper hardware, since the mac mini was only ever a bootstrap/proof of concept type of thing. ---------------------------------------- Bug #14682: Reproduce 'Scale' on appropriate hardware https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/14682#change-63669 Author: Dominic Maraglia Status: Unreviewed Priority: Normal Assignee: Max Martin Category: performance Target version: Affected Puppet version: Keywords: Branch: "Scale", our dedicated performance testing node is built on an OSX; OSX is a fun desktop OS, but is not suitable for remote management and monitoring. This environments needs to be puppetized for easy deployment. OPS will supply a proper debian based box to use as a host. QA will integrate the new box into Jenkins when it is ready. https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/14617 -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
