Dedicated hardware is going to be necessary to ensure the results of the test are comparable between test runs. Multiple VMs running on a single piece of dedicated hardware would be fine (this was the setup we had on the mac mini), but the ideal environment would be dedicated hardware for each "role" in the current vagrant environment.
