@alex An updated patch is available at <https://github.com/jeffmccune/facter/compare/puppetlabs:1.6.x...jeffmccune:fix/1.6.x/11609_fix_aix_processor_facts>. This should work correctly in Ruby 1.8.7 and Ruby 1.9.3. Please give it a try and let me know if it's working as expected on your AIX system.
