Yup, we wanted to use wicd at 1st, and I think there is an old dodgy
package on the repos (at the time it was only on Ubuntu, so we made a
Debian one). But as karsten said, starting with leek_and_potato we use
the network manager subsystem with the gnome nm-applet.
It works amazingly well, and handle ethernet and wifi with a very easy
interface. Can't be more simple than this.
