Hello,
I've just recently reinstalled a debian system for use with pure:dyne
because for some reason my jack system kept crashing and I could not solve
the issue.
I changed my apt sources list to get the pure:dyne kernel and some of the
metapackages, but then I noticed that my apt was acting funny when trying to
install things with certain dependencies. For instance, I was trying to
build seq24 from source and I needed a library, but when trying to get it I
got this:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libgtkmm-2.4-dev: Depends: libcairomm-1.0-dev (>= 1.1.12) but it is not
going to be installed
Depends: libgtk2.0-dev (>= 2.12.0) but it is not going
to be installed
E: Broken packages
And trying to get the package dependencies just lead me on a long list of
things depending on other things.
So I commented out the pure:dyne repositories, ran apt-get update and then
everything worked just fine. I'm wondering what the issue is and whether or
not just leaving out the pure:dyne repositories now that I've obtained the
RT kernel and some of the packages will be okay?
Just wondering, no rush on answers.
