The problem is related to KMS (kernel modesetting) which is a new thing getting enabled in recent kernels. The radeon drivers for those cards dont support it well. Passing radeon.modeset=0 on boot fixed my weird graphics curruption. It doesnt seem to happen with the -generic kernel though. -- | |'`'. .''. .. | ' .'
