Hum, Puredyne is based on Ubuntu 9, right? Maybe if you try Ubuntu 10
(lucid) 64bit (or even  Fedora 13 64bit) and check what happens.

It it works that I THINK means that the kernel of Ubuntu 9 is not
fully compatible with your specific CPU arch.
