We've been running pvfs2 on BG/L for quite some time now. The problem
started after migrating from 2.7.1 to 2.8.1. I looked on the ANL site,
unfortunately, latest ZeptoOS is not supported on /L, so I have to use
zeptoos 1.5; in addition 2.7.1 clients are not compatible with 2.8.1
servers.

Did you have any previous versions working on your BG/L ?
I don't have the link handy but i seem to recall it being on ANL's
site somewhere.
