I feel as though at least at this stage the wiki is tightly coupled to PSF in a way that isn't just infra. In principle the raison d'etre for the wiki at all is at its core about python. The association with PSF gives this "place"/wiki the credibility to be a place worth keeping this stuff. Additionally, at a practical level literally the PSF board and WGs *must* use the wiki for their business (or so I've heard). We can dismiss the idea of it being PSF related but that could technically be a misrepresentation.
Looking if there's any obvious prior art, and oh my, found these: https://wiki.python.org/moin/PythonWikiTasks https://wiki.python.org/moin/PythonWikiChanges Note, in my original link it is: https://wiki.python.org/moin/WikiTasks -> redirect to PythonWikiTasks. The evidence suggests we are not the first people to have this conversation. I'm looking forward to actually digging in, that's for sure. I really want to test the assumption that there is a need for this. --- Elena Williams Github: elena <http://github.com/elena/> On Wed, 12 Mar 2025 at 10:14, Mats Wichmann <m...@wichmann.us> wrote: > On 3/11/25 16:34, Elena Williams via pydotorg-www wrote: > > Heya! > > > > I'm interested in making a plan for capturing editors, but there are > > things to unpack. > > > > I have notes ready that I'm happy to add to a new page in the wiki, but > > looking at the "RecentChanges" I see that there isn't a page relating to > > this that has been added recently (as far as I can tell!).
