P.S.  I have also found out, somewhat by accident, that Pygame also 
works for Python 3.3a0 on Debian squeeze.

Yes, the changes have been applied to Pygame 1.9.2. The latest Pygame
source in SVN builds for Python 3.2 out of the box. It is part of my
