I think its use is limited to a small specialised community (those owning light meters), and so is not suitable for inclusion within pyglet. If you disagree, add it to the wishlist along with API suggestions at http://code.google.com/p/pyglet/wiki/ReleaseSchedule and we'll see when we get to the next version.
