The Astraea example in Pyglet uses push_handler to create 'overlays'
where the menu is shown. It's the nicest example of a well-done menu
in Pyglet I've seen : ) Using these overlaying objects with push and
pop handlers and some branching conditions in the main loop, you may
easily have a stacking menu structure, and you can put it on screen
whenever you want (i.e. for a 'pause' menu)
