hey tristram! thanks for this idea! unfortunately i dont think that there will be much of a performance increase as only 67 of the 1300 different map objects have no "shadow" (a half transparent area) but since implementing this is not too hard i will give it a try!! :D
also thanks a lot for testing it on the mac! i never ran my code on this platform so thanks for your hints, I will immediately update my code! it seems that using the z-coordinate for depth is no use in my case since i have to render the objects in the right order anyways to correctly blend them - of course apart from them mentioned 67 objects with no shadow but those have no real order anyways since they lie flat on the ground. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "pyglet-users" group.
