If you use deprecated functions and immediate mode stuff you get poor performance but an application flexible way to do things. If you use purely retained mode and OpenGL3 you get driver issues, slightly (but surprisingly little) better performance and an extremely tedious application model.
Neither the old immediate deprecated mode nor the new fancy buffer world of OpenGL3 addresses the *real* performance and application architecture issues. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "pyglet-users" group.
