Hm, seems like a somewhat pessimistic perspective. You could try looking at the webbrowser <https://docs.python.org/2/library/webbrowser.html> and urllib <http://stackoverflow.com/questions/22676/how-do-i-download-a-file-over-http-using-python> modules in python for opening external windows to sites and downloading advertising data for rendering in the program, maybe something with django.
