It's a little OT, but I'm having problems because I don't have support for my
soundcard in the kernel, and since I upgraded to Helixcode GNOME 1.2, I keep getting
the /dev/dsp message and other messages at /var/log/messages like:
Jun 8 12:40:32 localhost modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module sound-slot-0
Jun 8 12:40:32 localhost modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module sound-service-0
I suspect this are caused by GNOME starting esd as you suggested. Does anyone know how
to disable the sound support in GNOME?
Cheers,
Arkaitz.
