Just to give everyone an update, bbfreeze now does support osx, at least 
to some degree if you install from the dev tip.  The reason I wanted to 
try bbfreeze is that it seems to deal with eggs pretty better then many 
of the other freezers out there.   Did it this afternoon and got it to 
freeze the app pretty well.  I even moved the app to a different mac 
with a different version of python and it ran fairly well.  so I think 
I'll be stick with bbfreeze for now
