I have already read about "Pyramid" is a "Pylons Project" on Ben's blog and his group discussion posting and hackers news. Also referring to the conversation in this group, I understand that Pylons as a webframe is in maintenance mode and Pyramid is a new project under Pylons Project.
http://groups.google.com/group/pylons-discuss/browse_thread/thread/21a3c4867cd61822 Pyramid is a "Pylons Project" term shall lead to confusion to many people. If I am not wrong, there should be only one convention Pylons which is a web framework. When someone refers "Pylons Project", you need to ask like is it Pyramid or Pylons. When the Pyramid is ready for release, while marketing Pyramid and referring to Pylons to new folks would need better explanation and history. I might be not read some thread which explains why not refer Pyramid as Pyramid project instead of Pyramid is a Pylons project. Being used the Pylons for past 2 years, I have feeling of loosing the name to go, but this makes life easier when explaining the new framework to others. Sorry If I asked something which is not relevant to the group. Just expressed my concerns.
