Well, I could refresh the binaries, yes. But it's pretty time consuming to
do all the platforms up there.
In the meantime, here are gcj 4.0.2 binaries you can use on Intel OS X to
build PyLucene with:
http://downloads.osafoundation.org/compilers/osx/i386/gcc-4.0.2.tar.bz2-20061104
As I said earlier, the source tarball (made on a PPC OS X powerbook), is
not working with this compiler for a mysterious reason. You need to start
from the PyLucene svn sources which, on a Mac, shouldn't be a problem,
since Java and ant are normally installed already.
Andi, found some time to try this out. The current SVN version of PyLucene
using the gcc-4.0.2 binary you posted works fine in OSX Intel and I was able
to run the HighlightIt test that crashed before on PPC with no problems. I
will try my dev machine at work (PPC) with this set up as well over the
weekend.
I was also able to test out the new Fragmenter interface, all is well.
Needless to say, thanks for your timely efforts!
Would it help for me to post back the compiled intel-mac binaries of the svn
build?
If you put them up on a server you control, I can link to them from the
PyLucene homepage but I don't feel comfortable providing direct downloads for
binaries I didn't build.
Andi..
