I agree. In December, there was a huge sense of urgency that we absolutely must have a 3.0.1 last year - and now people talk about giving up 3.0 entirely. Releasing 3.1 6 months after 3.0 sounds reasonable; I don't think it should be released earlier (else 3.0 looks fairly ridiculous).
