On that subject, I'd like to thank everyone involved in the python-ideas discussion, and particularly Steven D'Aprano, Rob Cliffe, and Andrew Barnert; it was an amazingly productive thread, getting to nearly four hundred emails before seriously meandering. And even then, it mostly just started looping back on itself, which isn't surprising given that it was so long - anyone not majorly invested in the topic won't have read every single post.
