Greetings all, I've been interested in Python for quite a few years now, and have recently moved to Leeds. I'm a civil engineer by profession but have a (morbid) interest in programming thanks to an upbringing involving learning BASIC 1.1 from an early age, a mispent youth behind Linux terminals and summer placements at Sheffield University.
Nowadays I'm creating a website in my spare time using the Python-driven Django web framework, and I was wondering whether anyone in this group could recommend any books which might be good for a relative novice to programming and web development. I check this group regularly and am hoping to come to some meetings later in the year when I'm less busy with work. So hope to meet some of you soon!
