It seems to be a decent option for now, especially b/c they are giving us free hosting.

When I ran the russian text from that page through a translator service and what it said was equivalent to "this site coming soon"

You'll get the same result if you request a subdomain that does not exist on that server. See:
http://nothing-here.xen.ru/

I don't think putting ads on a page for a subdomain that is not configured yet is really wrong. If people are costing you bandwidth looking for things that aren't there, you might as well offset that with some ad revenue. It would be different if he put a bunch of ads in our site but clearly that's not the case.

I added a small text link to the footer of the Plone site saying "thanks to keysolutions.ru for sponsoring this hosting"

For the long-term, I think we may want to look for a different host, so that we can install our own products and not have to wait for Mikhail to make changes like this, but for now I think it is kind of Mikhail to host our site.

about the hosting, you think it is good idea to use Mikhail hosing or look

I don't want to have his banners to his company where plone.python.org.il
should be and that's why I asked to turn it down.

what you think?
